Steam Bar

A sleek dim sum restaurant celebrating Hong Kong cuisine with Tokyo influences in the heart of the Left Bank.

Located next to its sister restaurant Blueberry, the intimate sushi bar on Rue du Sabot, Steam Bar is the latest culinary project of the Vaconsin sisters, also behind the popular Italianate restaruant Marcello. The seductive dining room is dressed in dark wood with crimson Chinese lanterns, neon styling and a vibe more akin to a secret clandestine members' club.

Taking Inspiration from Japanese and Hong Kong cuisine, the menu brings together expertly-crafted dim-sum by chef Monsieur Wong, formerly at Shang Palace, the Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in the Shangri-La hotel. Blending the history and heritage of Chinese culinary traditions with more modern innovations, such as steamed ravioli with langoustines topped with grated truffle and Princess Pei Pei, an all-black bao with truffle and smoked scamorza.
