Opened in 1791 and overlooking the Jardin du Luxembourg, this little cafe could boast a great deal, and yet from its his bordeaux-coloured awnings to its clientele the focus is on low-key. Locals here pop in, as they hav done for years, just for a salad at lunch or a little reading in the afternoon. There is no rush here.
In the afternoons, the apéro hour gathers in the crowds as sunskeers and after work drinkers quietly crowd the outdoor terrace and the interior bar.
If you are looking for old school charm, sunshine and green vistas, this is a great choice.
