The Cod House

Beautifully designed, offering Japanese tapas in a jovial and relaxed atmosphere The Cod House is the new watering hole for Paris's chic and fashionable.

The concept is based on Japanese izakayas, small Japanese bars dedicated to drinking and snacking, think Japanese tapas meets Parisian cocktail bar.

The decor is iconically modern and inviting, and indeed has been making quiet a splash on Instagram through the venues already loyal following.

Try the  the California roll with namesake Black Cod and miso (15€), taramasalata with truffles (€7), the delicious Yellow Tail seared with a ginger confit (14€) or tge carpaccio speckled with chili and yuzu sauce (10€). The tempura is also delightfully well accomplished, we particularly love meaty prawn tempura (€16) and the Crunchy chicken (9€) accompanying with miso mustard.

The range of cocktails on offer is surprisingly broad ranging from British Pimm’s, to an Asian MaryAnn with yuzu liqueur, pear syrup and fresh mint; as well as a Peruvian Saké.
