Everything about Café Ineko seems to say - glamour, from the beautiful interior designed by François Champsaur, to its chic location on Rue des Gravilliers in the Marais, to the delicious vegan menus created by chef Julie Bavant and pastry chef Julie Genest, and of course its tres chic owner Inès de Villeneuve.
We love the healthy menu here oriented around seasonal fruit and vegetables, traditional wheat and natural sugars. Do be sure to try such must dishes as the delicious spelt tabbouleh with raw and cooked vegetables (red cabbage, radish, fondant aborigines, roasted tomatoes and small shoots), the Majorcan coca (a type of pizza) made with spelt flour and labneh, and the surprsingly delicious savory scone served sandwich-style with avocado and feta cheese. If you still have room for dessert, opt for the coconut crème brûlée.
Although the food is scumptious do be sure to look up from your plate soak in the beautiful interior, designed to inspire a feeling of being in a house on the Balearic Islands, boasting in accents of glass, white stone and light wood, vintage furniture and lovelt little accent pieces.
