Bankers, politicians and wealthy Parisian locals all gather here for a side of oeufs mayo, steak frites, celery remoulade and other traditional staples including more daring options like the Corsican pig cheek of Ange Pantalacci. If U are a fan of duck do be sure to try the duck confit or magret de canard, both are well executed and very tasty.
Everything here screams tradition and traditional, including the chic clientele that is so customary for the area. This is definitely a venue renowned for its see-and-be-seen attitude, the place to luncheon for the French politicians and Parisian bankers, but then again that is the charm of the 8th arrondissement.
Just remember, the fares are indeed good and the produce is excellent, but the wine list here is superior so do be sure to have a proper look before you order, and if in doubt ask for a recommendation as the staff here is indeed knowledgeable.
