Afghanistan restaurant has the feel of a family run joint, all fares are made with fresh produce and have the homemade touch, while chef Sadjia Masshour cuisine is as authentic as they come.
Spices, fruits, Indian flavours (due to geographic proximity of the two countries), and lamb dominate the menu. If U are visiting during the weekend then do try the national Afghanistan dish - made with seasoned lamb pieces combined with pallaw, a seasoned rice with vegetables and dried fruits. If visiting during the week then give a go to another national dish halgam tchalow, a mix veal, rice, turnips and honey.
If U are a fan of Indian cuisine and have never tried Afganistan cuisine before, and therefore want to ease into it slowly, then we recommend you opt for a Kormé (similar to an Indian Korma).
Afghanistan cuisine also features pasta dishes, we recommend U try the deliciously tasty ravioli dumplings stuffed with leek and ground beef. Unfortunately there is not much choice for vegetarians, but if U are a carnivore then this is a great place to experience meat based dishes as U never have before.
