Not only is the food at Dersou delicious and the ingredients surpring and tasty, but Chef Taku Sekine is known to paint his plates by his ingredients with a Picasso like ease and beauty. You will often spot edible purple flowers, sliced and swirled avocado and thick almost cepes on his fares that add both flavour and beauty.
This is the place to visit if you are foodie fanatic. Sure, the set tasting dinner menu cannot be called affordable, but then so few things worth experiencing seem to be noawadays.
For starters do try the duck ravioli, ginger broth and coriander. Then move on over to the unexpectedly tasty Iberian pig, black rice, quinoa and lime. Or opt for what the true foodie fanatics opt for here and order the five to seven course tasting menu.
Cocktails here are created by none other than Amaury Guyot (previously at the cocktail bar Sherry Butt and Experimental Cocktail Club) so you can be assured they are first-rate.
All in all, it can't be denied Dersou is a lovely experience all around.
