September is here, the kids are back to school, and your day's are, how shall we put this, freer. So what better way to celebrate your adult independence, away from your children, than with a romantic Seine cruise, enjoying the fine cuisine of renowned chef Alain Ducasse.
Ducasse aims to evolutionize the Seine River cruise experience through his €11 million, all-electric, yacht. The 31-metre vessel will be docked on the Right Bank, at Port Debilly near the Trocadéro, amusingly in the shadow of his previous establishment, the Eiffel Tower.
Floating restaurants in the City of Lights are not known for their high-end cuisine, but many think that is all about to change. Ducasse's cuisine will be solely made from raw, fresh, seasonal ingredients, low in fat, sugar and salt. So that U can enjoy the best of Ducasse's cuisine, without the guilt we are usually made to endure after gastronomic experience.
Every fare will be prepared on the boat, thus ensuringthe freshest quality control, which shouldn't be hard considering the yacht boasts in 36 cooks and pastry chefs. The five-course dinner menu features delectable fares such as chilled lobster, pan-seared fillet of beef au jus, a Parisian chocolate dessert, served on a crispy praline.
Ducasse sur Seine is an éphémère restaurant, so if you wish to book a table - we recommend sooner, rather than later.
