What is it about tapas joints that seem to recall the finer things in life - mingling with friends, free time, food and drink? We would have to say that it is the atmosphere of 'sharing and caring' they create. Still, despite their popularity around the world, tapas joints usually tend to look like mangled shacks.
Thankfully, this 16th arrodissement gem, has both style and taste galore. The kitchen is headed by young up-and-coming female chef Margaux Vieljeux, who embarks us on an array of dining delights to share, such as - ceviche of Meagre fish with yuzu sauce, pomegranate and lime, fried cuttlefish, sweet potato aioli and black Angus beef tataki, peanuts, chimichurri sauce. Keeping true to its organic and lively atmosphere, the restaurant also serves a weekly changing menu. After all, boredom is not the only unpermitted quality here.
Just be prepared, this is the sort of place you could easily lose track of the hours. But then again, there is something charming in that.
