Although chef extraordinaire Quentin Giroud does not yet have a Michelin star there are many in the city who believe that he should be swimming in them. A visit to his gastronomic restaurant Aspic may soon have you singing a similar tune.
Of course, we see the appeal of this charming restaurant and why chef Giroud's cuisine does indeed seem to be worthy of at least a Michelin star. The restaurant only serves a seven course meal, but what is on offer is truly delightful and the prices are more than accessible making the experience both a culinary as well as economic treat. Don't be surprised, when with the presentation of each course you will not only get a 'how' it was made but also a history of the products, their origin, and of course the wine.
Wine here is taken seriously, and boasts in a truly well-selected edit of some very noteworthy small French producers. If U are thinking it all feels like an in-the-known experience, that's because it truly is one. The locals keep a tight lip on this 9th arrondissement gem for fear of it being overrun by tourists.
