Beautiful large terrace overlooking Paris, charming interiors, talented up-and-coming chef, and a great happy hour, Moncoeur Belleville really has taken our hearts. Although this is a cafe to be best be enjoyed over summer, as you have drinks on terrace on the small square filled with trees, nestled on the heights of the Parc de Belleville. There is hardly a more beautiful or affordable place to have a bird's eye view of the city. 

Nevertheless, there is something magically inspring about the place at winter, especially when the square is covered in snow and locals pack into the interior creating a lively and warm ambiance. 

The kicthen is headed by multi-talented chef Etienne Daviau, (who was trained by none other than renowned chef Thierry Marx and and has even worked at Senderens). Yes, chef Daviau is indeed an up-and-coming chef. All the cuisine is made only of the freshest and best quality produce, and everything is prepared to perfection.

Do opt for the tapas and small plates to share such as zucchini tartare, marinated squid or these mini fried calamari. They are the perfect nibble with your drink. Or if hunger has really striked then go for a hearty plate like lobster ravioli with thaï bouillon, or the delicious beef Picanha accompanied with purée and crispy vegetables. 

And did we mention that MonCoeur Belleville also boasts in a great list of organic and natural wine such as the vegan white wine from Ardèche or the organic Viognier.
