Previously known as the Floréal, the venue closed its doors three years ago to the dismay of the locals, now like a phoenix from the ashes has risen the new Floréal Belleville. The new address is not only hipper and trendier, but boasts in a restaurant, a bar and a cultural space to boot.
The brainchild of Alexis Ossipovski and Lara Ossipovski, the local brother and sister who won the project through the Mayor's call to revive Belleville, the Floreal Belleville, a 200m² space has become one of the places to shmooze and socialise.
Keeping with the nouveau theme, the restaurant menu changes monthly, as the restaurant gives the opportunity for a new chef to head the kitchen each month, thus showcasing new expertise and cuisines throughout the year.
Both the bar and restaurant are very affordably priced (intentionally) so as to encourage locals to meet and mingle, which in return seems to offer more foot fall to the cultural space exhibiting young and up-coming local artists.
This is a heart project done by the local community, for the local community. And it is indeed a pleasure to discover.
Wining, dining and artsying.
Menu changes monthly (new chef every month).
Great selection of classic cocktails. Good wine edit.
A heart project done by two locals for the locals; a restaurant, a bar and a cultural space all under one roof; located at the foot of the beautiful Belleville park, different chef and cuisine every month, very reasonably priced, great selection of classic cocktails, good selection of wines and beers.
